Support Your Local

Our latest release is in the spirit of generosity and making a difference, and we're sharing how we give back to our community and providing you with some resources so that you can do so in your own way.

Every year, we give 20-30% of our profits to causes we believe in. This year we’re spreading the word because we believe in generosity and its power to affect change — especially when it comes to small, local organizations with specific and heartfelt objectives.

“Unlike a modern money transaction, which is closed and leaves no obligation, a gift transaction is open-ended, creating an ongoing tie between the participants.”

— Charles Eisenstein

We also took some time to ask some of our friends how and why they give — here's what they had to say:

Tippy Tippens, Goods That Matter + The Good Shop

    Philly Santosuosso, Humidity

    Patti Dunn, Tchoup Industries

Ashlee Jones, Smallchalk + Just Cause

When you shop at DNO, know that a portion of the proceeds are always going somewhere good. This year, we've had the joy of giving to several great organizations doing important work — here are some of them:

BreakOUT! seeks to end the criminalization of LGBTQ youth to build a safer and more just New Orleans.

    Electric Girls

Electric Girls builds girls' confidence and capabilities by engaging them through STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).

    Healthy Gulf

Healthy Gulf is committed to uniting and empowering people to protect and restore the natural resources of the Gulf Region.

Innocence Project New Orleans (IPNO) frees innocent, life-sentenced prisoners. They advocate for sensible criminal justice policies that reduce wrongful convictions.

    The Lens

The Lens is the New Orleans area’s first nonprofit, nonpartisan public-interest newsroom, dedicated to unique investigative and explanatory journalism. Their mission is to educate, engage and empower readers with information and analysis necessary for them to advocate for a more transparent and just governance that is accountable to the public.

The Music & Culture Coalition of New Orleans empowers the community to preserve and nurture the city’s culture, enact policy change, and to create positive economic impact.

    Jane Place

JPNSI is a Community Land Trust and housing rights organization committed to creating sustainable, democratic, and economically just neighborhoods and communities in New Orleans.

    Team Gleason

Team Gleason is on a mission to help provide individuals with neuromuscular diseases or injuries with leading edge technology, equipment and services; create a global conversation about ALS to ultimately find solutions and an end to the disease; raise public awareness toward ALS by providing and documenting extraordinary life adventures for individuals with muscular diseases or injuries.

    Villalobos Rescue Center

VRC is an all-breed dog rescue project with an emphasis on Pit Bulls. They are based in New Orleans and Assumption Parish and take in over 60 dogs a month.

Our Support Your Local campaign builds on our commitment to community with a design that emphasizes the beauty of giving and shows gratitude for the people that support and inspire us. We’re pledging 100% of the revenue from Support Your Local sales to causes we’re proud to get behind.

Now available in a long sleeve t-shirt and Champion hoodie.
